Day 3: Buffet Bust, Spa Shortchanged, and the Quest for the Perfect Selfie

Day three of our Pasig Staycation dawned bright and early, fueled by the promise of a delicious breakfast and a day filled with spa treatments and a dash of retail therapy. We, the Primus Besties, were ready to conquer the day with our usual blend of enthusiasm and a touch of chaos.

Our morning began with a leisurely breakfast at the condo, fueled by a feast of scrambled eggs, hotdogs, and croissants, and enough coffee to fuel a small army. We were fueled and ready to tackle the day's agenda, which, as it turned out, involved a trip to Wensha Timog for a spa day and a solo mission to SM Megamall for a new phone.

We piled into a Grab and headed to Wensha Timog, our hearts filled with anticipation for a day of relaxation and pampering. We were greeted by a calming atmosphere, the scent of essential oils wafting through the air, and the promise of pure bliss.

Our first stop was the buffet lunch, a culinary disappointment that left us feeling underwhelmed. The selection was limited, the dining area was stiflingly hot, and the air conditioning was clearly not designed for hot pot enthusiasts. We navigated the buffet with a mixture of confusion and disappointment.

The spa experience, however, was a different story. While the staff were polite and attentive, the overall experience was a bit of a let down. We were expecting a full six hours of pampering, but it turned out we could only stay for three hours, with the buffet, massage, and wet area all included in that timeframe. It was a difficult task to divide our time between the various activities, and we were disappointed to learn that we would have to pay extra for extended hours. The spa lacked clear signage and instructions, making it confusing to navigate, and we found ourselves constantly asking staff for directions.

Despite the hiccups, we managed to enjoy the spa's therapist excellent massage and clean wet area. We emerged from our pampering sessions feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and slightly dazed. We were like caterpillars transformed into beautiful, albeit slightly sleepy, butterflies.

With our spa day complete, I embarked on a solo mission to SM Megamall, armed with a list of phone specifications and a desperate need for a new selfie-worthy device. The mall was a bustling hive of activity, a sensory overload of flashing lights, blaring music, and the constant chatter of shoppers. I navigated the labyrinthine aisles, my eyes scanning for the perfect phone, my heart pounding with anticipation.

After hours of deliberation, I finally found my match: a sleek, stylish phone with a camera that promised to capture my best angles. I emerged from the mall, my heart filled with a mixture of excitement and relief, my pockets lighter, but my spirit soaring.
As the sun began its descent, I hopped into a Grab and headed back to the condo, my new phone nestled safely in my pocket, ready to capture every moment of our remaining staycation days. We dined, we laughed, we shared stories of our adventures, and we prepared for a night of restful sleep.

Day three of our Pasig Staycation was a mix of culinary disappointments, spa mishaps, and a dash of retail therapy. It was a reminder that even in the midst of a staycation, life can offer unexpected challenges, but also moments of pure joy and satisfaction.
