I ♥ Pundaquit Zambales 03/27/2011

Pundaquit Beach Zambales Pundaquit, or Pandakit is in San Antonio Zambales, a small fishing village on an attractive bay with a long white sand beach. It is a small barrio next to a glorious South China Sea and surrounded by paramount mountains. It is home to many fishermen as several boats lined their beach. The sun was glaring as I tried to take in the striking surroundings. The beach was very clean, unlike some of Subic's beaches I visited before.   I was really confused if Cove and Island is the same but according to my research A cove is a small type of bay or coastal inlet. Coves usually have narrow, restricted entrances, are often circular or oval, and are often situated within a larger bay. So definitely, we are not going to ride a boat just to get there.  It took us four hour of bumpy ride to finally reach Subic Olongapo and another hour to get to San Antonio Zambales with just 2 hours of slow traffic and the difference is our total travel time. We don't

I ♥ Sunbloom Resort Potipot Zambales 09/09/2011

Sunbloom Resort is just one of the many resorts in Potipot . It is located along the shoreline of Barangay Uacon in Candelaria, Zambales. The resort is very charming the offers gentle hospitality and tranquility for that perfect escape that you’ve been longing for. One thing I notice is the Spanish influence in its architecture. I think that it’s an old Mansion turn into a resort hotel. They don’t allow pets unless it’s caged. They also have a huge parking space so its good for groups that will bring private cars. I feel so secure in the area and It feels like home. They have picnic tables for rent for day trippers but free for those staying for a night. Their view deck gives a perfect sight of Potipot Island.    With rooms at Php1200 good for 4 pax, their rooms have a/c and fan, two double comfortable beds, rattan sofa-bed and really clean toilets with complimentary towels & soap but without hot & cold shower though.  All rooms look the same, with same amenities,

My feet are entirely too itchy to stay in one place for another month so I pressured my friend to go travelling. Being considered a natural controlling friend, he has a talent when it comes to organizing travels. He planned to go to Potipot Island in Candelaria Zambales to spend quality time.   We supposed to ride the 3am bus but we were 5 minutes late of the scheduled time. We left around 5:00 am at the Victory Liner Bus Station at Monumento thinking that we’ll arrive at our destination early. I thought Zambales is just roughly 3-4 hours drive from Manila but going there would take 6 hours of grueling travel. We still need to transfer to another bus in Sta.Cruz bound to Iba. Potipot is quite very far, many people might get turned off going there.   We checked in at the Sun Bloom Resort, for about Php2,000/night for an aircon room good for five, with its own cable TV, and of course, bathroom.  The resort sits in front of the beach and Potipot is already visible from there.
