STK ta Bay Cebu City   I’ve been telling in my previous blog post about Cebu’s unique dining experience. If someone will ask me the best place to dine in the Philippines, Cebu City will surely be in my top list. I love eating but I’m not familiar where the best restaurants located are. Whenever I eat in a good restaurant, it is because I am with a friend who has more knowledge and experience in finding good restaurants. I am lucky to have a couple of friends who like to dine and spoil their palates. When we were in Cebu, it was a great opportunity for us to try the different restaurants in this humble city one of which is the famous STK ta Bai at 6 Orchid Street, Capitol.  STK ta Bai! Restaurant is well-known here in Cebu as the place where families usually gather and have dinner together. STK means sugba (grill), tula (broth), kilaw (raw/ceviche), it's a typical fish serving in Cebu and most Visayan cities in which a fish is cut and prepared in three different ways as gril

Cebu is one of the best places to dine in the Philippines. It is a food lover’s haven of flavor. You won’t be surprised if Cebu City offers a variety of food, I bet that you are not a foodie lover if you haven’t heard the famous Lechon Cebu, Dangit or Dried Mangoes. The first trip that I had with Cebu was an eye opening experience. I’ve learned the different flavor Cebu can offer, one of which is a restaurant called Casa Verde.  A friend who frequently visits Cebu recommended this place. It is also popular among bloggers and you’ll hear a lot of good reviews online. Casa Verde has several branches. The main branch is at 69 Lim Tian Teng St., another branch is at The Walk at IT Park and the most accessible branch is at The Terraces at Ayala. We traveled using public transportation during our Cebu trip so we opted to visit their most accessible branch near our hotel which is in The Walk at I.T Park.   You won’t regret waiting for a couple of minutes to be seated because it’s all wort

i ♥ AA BBQ Cebu City 11/05/2011

When you're in Cebu City, One should not miss this haven for barbecue lovers, the original AA BBQ. My first taste of Cebuano dishes happened in AA BBQ and I could say that although most of their dishes were grilled meat or seafood, the flavor of it is very distinct Cebuano.  The BBQ store was introduce to me by Patty who frequently visits Cebu because of her Job. From our hotel in I.T Park we rode a cab to get there.  AA BBQ is a popular place so you’ll never get lost. You will surely not miss the restaurant because the smell of grilled food will literally take you there. The place is not really fancy but seeing a lot of people eating in the restaurant will assured you that you’re in the right place.  When you’re going to dine in AA BBQ the first thing you need to do is to get a tray so you could put the variety of raw food that you choose in their counter. Once you get the food that you wanted, pay it over at the end of the line and then look for a table. A waiter will th

There is nothing more satisfying than to spend an entire weekend on a beach with the company of some great friends. That's what we exactly did when we went to Subic. It was Jitjit’s birthday when he invited us to go to their place in Subic, Zambales. He’s been away in Manila for a year already and we really wanted to see him.  Gracia, Ken my sister (Badet) and me met in Market Market and went to Victory Liners Pasay bound to Olongapo. From Manila, we took the bus going to Subic. It was roughly a 3-hour trip. We weren’t bored the entire trip. Thanks to music; traveling long hours on the road is not much of a struggle. It’s touchdown in Subic Bay Freeport Zone at around 5pm.  We bought a birthday cake for Jitjit and met him in Goldilocks. Jitjit introduced Tomtom to us, his current love interest that time and we headed straight to their house to meet Jitjit’s family. We sang happy birthday before eating the food that was served to us. After dinner, Gracia wanted to go nigh

I ♥ Bonifacio Global City 07/06/12

I’ve been living in Taguig City for 10 years now and I’ve witnessed how this city has become one of the most progressive in the metropolis. Taguig City is located east of the City of Manila and is part of the National Capital Region. Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is its premier business district which is a former army camp developed into one of the most promising urban centers in Metro Manila. There are three big shopping and dining places that are near each other in BGC. The first one is Market! Market!, the next is Serendra, and the third is the Bonifacio High Street. One of my friends asked me to organize a meeting of our close friends in Poormus. Being a natural party planner I contacted everyone that was available and asked them to meet at Bonifacio Global City. Our meeting place was at Market! Market!, where our former company is located (Poormus). The place is always crowded because it caters the masses and the price of goods here were very cheap compared to other establishment
