I ♥ Casa Verde Cebu City 11/06/2011

Cebu is one of the best places to dine in the Philippines. It is a food lover’s haven of flavor. You won’t be surprised if Cebu City offers a variety of food, I bet that you are not a foodie lover if you haven’t heard the famous Lechon Cebu, Dangit or Dried Mangoes. The first trip that I had with Cebu was an eye opening experience. I’ve learned the different flavor Cebu can offer, one of which is a restaurant called Casa Verde.
A friend who frequently visits Cebu recommended this place. It is also popular among bloggers and you’ll hear a lot of good reviews online.
Casa Verde has several branches. The main branch is at 69 Lim Tian Teng St., another branch is at The Walk at IT Park and the most accessible branch is at The Terraces at Ayala. We traveled using public transportation during our Cebu trip so we opted to visit their most accessible branch near our hotel which is in The Walk at I.T Park.
You won’t regret waiting for a couple of minutes to be seated because it’s all worth it. . And true enough, when we were there, it was a full house. Luckily, a friend already booked in advance so we don’t need to wait anymore.

The ambiance of Casa Verde is just like in TGIF but you’ll notice its USA 60’s theme. The place is clean but their interior space can’t accommodate large group. They have a very extensive menu and their grilled and steaks are their bestsellers.

We were very exhausted from our city tour and we were ready to pig out here. We ordered 3 Brian’s rib and extra rice only to find out those servings were enormous. When the waiter brought the first plate we were surprised by the serving size. We thought that one plate can already feed the three of us, but then realized that we still have two plates with extra rice to eat. Of course we just asked the waiter to pack it for take out. Brian's ribs is one of the must try in their menu and I could say that you can order it over and over again because it's tasty and affordable.

Casa Verde also offers a variety of desserts like Death by Chocolate, Blueberry Cheese cake, Oreo Cheese cake and many more and I will advise you not to stuff a lot from their regular menu because their serving size is enormous and you will not be able to eat their fabulous desserts after meal.

Everything is extremely reasonable compared to other restaurants; where else can you find an American food in an casual dining ambiance at unbelievably affordable price. I will definitely recommend Casa Verde if you will be going to Cebu. You may want to try the local cuisine of Cebu City but a trip in Casa Verde won’t make you feel guilty.
