I ❤️ Kurasushi - Tokyo 2023 - 10-21-2023

Review for Kurasushi Restaurant:   If you're a sushi lover, Kurasushi is a must-visit destination. This popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Japan offers a unique dining experience that goes beyond just enjoying the food.   The sushi at Kurasushi is a testament to the culinary artistry of Japan. Each piece is meticulously crafted, boasting fresh seafood ingredients that are a delight to the taste buds. The variety is impressive, catering to different preferences and dietary needs.   What sets Kurasushi apart is its innovative approach to dining. For every five plates of sushi you consume, you get a chance to play a game and win a prize. This interactive element adds a layer of fun to the dining experience, making it more than just a meal. On our visit, we won a pin on our second try!   We visited Kurasushi on a weekday morning at their Higashi Nippori location. Despite conveyor belt sushi restaurants being a popular choice for fa

Coffee Shop Review: ANGKAN   If you're a fan of iced matcha, ANGKAN in BGC is the place to be. They truly know how to make the best iced matcha in town, and it's even better than what you'll find at Starbucks. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!   One of the standout features of ANGKAN is its inviting ambiance. The store is well-lit, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to work or a place to catch up with friends, ANGKAN provides a relaxing vibe that makes it the perfect destination.   But let's talk about the star of the show - their iced matcha. It's simply exceptional. The matcha flavor is rich and authentic, and the balance of sweetness is just right. Each sip is a delightful experience, leaving you craving for more. Whether you prefer it with milk or without, ANGKAN has got you covered.   In addition to their incredible matcha, ANGKAN also offers a range of othe

I ❤️ Smooth Cafe Moalboal - Cebu 2023 - 12-07-2023

Restaurant Review: Smooth Cafe Moalboal, Cebu   After an adventurous day at Kawasan Falls, my parent and I found ourselves famished and in need of a good dinner. We decided to head to Panagsama Beach in Moalboal and rented a tricycle for 150 pesos to get there. Our initial plan was to try a famous restaurant in the area, but unfortunately, it was fully packed. We wandered around the area in search of a decent Filipino restaurant, as I am a fan of rice and budget-friendly dining options. However, due to our hunger and lack of time to explore further, we ended up at Smooth Cafe.   To my surprise, the restaurant had live bands performing and seemed to attract more expat customers than Filipinos. Although I initially felt a bit anxious, we were too hungry to back out, so we decided to give it a try. We were delighted to find that they offered Filipino food at very reasonable prices. Without hesitation, we placed our orders and eagerly waited for our food to arrive.

I ❤️ Asakusa-Gyukatsu Restaurant - Tokyo 2023 - 10-18-2023

Restaurant Review: Asakusa-Gyukatsu Restaurant Tokyo   After our short visit to the Sensoji Temple, my friends and I were feeling hungry and decided to look for a restaurant for dinner. It was already 10 pm, and our friend recommended a quaint family-owned restaurant on the other side of the temple. Initially, I was hesitant because there was a long queue and the pace of service seemed slow. However, our friend assured us that a long queue usually indicates great food.   We decided to give it a try, and I must say, we had the most wonderful experience at Asakusa-Gyukatsu Restaurant. Despite having to queue up for about 45 minutes, it was well worth the wait. The service we received was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly respectful and kind.   Now, let's talk about the food. It was absolutely fantastic! One of the highlights of the dining experience was having little grills on our table to prepare the meat. It added a unique touch and made

I ❤️ 10,000 Roses - Cebu (2023) - 12-10-2023

Title: 10000 Roses Cebu 2023 - A Disappointing Tourist Trap   During our recent trip to Cebu, we stumbled upon 10000 Roses, a Korean-owned cafe located by the wharf. This tourist attraction boasted of 10,000 LED white roses that changed colors, creating a visually captivating experience. However, our visit to this cafe turned out to be a dud, leaving us disappointed and underwhelmed.   The main selling point of 10000 Roses is undoubtedly the LED roses that adorn the cafe's grounds. From a distance, the sight of thousands of roses glowing in various colors is indeed mesmerizing. It's an impressive sight to behold, especially for first-time visitors. However, the novelty quickly wears off, and the lack of maintenance becomes apparent.   Upon closer inspection, we noticed that many of the LED roses were not turned on, suggesting that they were no longer functioning. This lack of attention to detail detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the ca

I ♥ STK ta Bay Cebut City 11/06/2011

STK ta Bay Cebu City   I’ve been telling in my previous blog post about Cebu’s unique dining experience. If someone will ask me the best place to dine in the Philippines, Cebu City will surely be in my top list. I love eating but I’m not familiar where the best restaurants located are. Whenever I eat in a good restaurant, it is because I am with a friend who has more knowledge and experience in finding good restaurants. I am lucky to have a couple of friends who like to dine and spoil their palates. When we were in Cebu, it was a great opportunity for us to try the different restaurants in this humble city one of which is the famous STK ta Bai at 6 Orchid Street, Capitol.  STK ta Bai! Restaurant is well-known here in Cebu as the place where families usually gather and have dinner together. STK means sugba (grill), tula (broth), kilaw (raw/ceviche), it's a typical fish serving in Cebu and most Visayan cities in which a fish is cut and prepared in three different ways as gril

I ♥ Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon 03/13/2011

Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time. I saw a lot of private cars with LaSalle University stickers probably they rented the place for retreat. I never expected the resort to be so beautif
