Siquijor Bliss: Our Amazing Hotel Experience 🌴

Rainbow Bay Beach and Dive Resort - A Review
Okay, so after that super welcoming arrival, we were ready to settle in. We checked into our hotel and decided to grab some lunch while we waited for our room to be ready at 2 pm. We went for a classic Filipino feast: pork, pancit bihon (thin rice noodles), chopsuey (stir-fried veggies), and rice, all washed down with a 1.5 liter Coke. It was delicious!

And guess what? They let us into our room 15 minutes early! Score! The hotel is pretty big, but they only have 10 rooms, so it feels really exclusive. Our room was amazing! It had a king-size bed and a single bed, perfect for us. The design was modern rustic, with stone floors and big open windows – so tasteful! I was blown away by how big the bathroom was. Seriously, it felt like a spa! However, the bathroom had a silhouette glass, which meant you couldn't really have any privacy inside.

But the best part? Our room had a mini gym, a backdoor that led to a little outdoor space with a table and chairs, and private access to the beach! Talk about a dream setup! The bedsheets were so clean and smelled amazing, the AC was super cold, and they even had a ceiling fan. There were a few insects, which is understandable since we were in a garden, but I didn't get a single mosquito bite!

They also had complimentary coffee and bottled water that they refilled every day, and they cleaned the room whenever we asked. They even changed the towels every time we requested it. The staff were so attentive, helpful, and polite. The hotel felt super secure too, with security guards patrolling 24/7.

Now, for the not-so-great stuff: The water pressure was a bit low, which made taking a shower a bit of a challenge if you were in a hurry. The Wi-Fi was also pretty slow and kept cutting out, which was a bit of a pain for working from home. There were also occasional power outages, but they had generators, so it wasn't a huge deal. And if it was raining hard, there wasn't really a way to get around without getting wet. The bathroom also had a silhouette glass, which meant you couldn't really have any privacy inside.

But even with those minor downsides, this hotel stay was one of the best I've had during my travels. The pros definitely outweigh the cons!
