I ❤️ Siquijor 2024 - Salagdoong Beach - Wet Tour - Day 2 - 09/12/2024
Siquijor 2024: A Journey Through Limestone and Sunshine (and a Little Bit of Rain)
Siquijor, the island of fire and magic, lived up to its reputation (at least partially) during our recent trip. While the remnants of a typhoon still lingered in the air, we, the "Sunshine Girls," were determined to soak up every bit of island charm, even if it meant a few splashes of rain.
Our next stop was Salagdoong Beach, a place that promised stunning limestone structures and a dose of adrenaline-pumping cliff jumping. But alas, the typhoon's aftershocks had other plans. The waves were a bit too rough for a dip, and even the most daring of us "Sunshine Girls" (a self-proclaimed group of positive energy emitters) weren't quite ready to tackle those churning waters.
The beach itself was a sight to behold, though. The limestone structures, towering like ancient guardians, were truly impressive. They gave the beach a unique, almost otherworldly feel, like we'd stumbled onto a set for a fantasy film. The surrounding trees, their branches reaching towards the sky, only added to the mystical atmosphere.
However, the resort itself seemed to have seen better days. The buildings had a slightly "run-down" vibe, and the sand, while off-white, wasn't the soft, powdery kind you dream of. But hey, who needs perfect sand when you have majestic limestone structures?
We spent a good portion of our time at Salagdoong capturing the beauty of the place in pictures and videos. The rough waves added a dramatic element to our shots, making them feel like they were straight out of a travel magazine. After all, what's a trip to Siquijor without a few photos to prove you were there?
While the cliff jumping was off the menu, we still managed to have a blast at Salagdoong. The limestone structures alone were worth the trip, and the "Sunshine Girls" (despite the lack of sunshine) were in their element, radiating positive vibes and capturing the essence of the island.
So, if you're planning a trip to Siquijor, be sure to add Salagdoong Beach to your itinerary. Just remember, even if the weather isn't perfect, there's still plenty of beauty to be found. And who knows, maybe the "Sunshine Girls" will be there to help you manifest some sunshine of your own.
