I ♥ Bonifacio Global City 07/06/12

I’ve been living in Taguig City for 10 years now and I’ve witnessed how this city has become one of the most progressive in the metropolis. Taguig City is located east of the City of Manila and is part of the National Capital Region.

Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is its premier business district which is a former army camp developed into one of the most promising urban centers in Metro Manila. There are three big shopping and dining places that are near each other in BGC. The first one is Market! Market!, the next is Serendra, and the third is the Bonifacio High Street.

One of my friends asked me to organize a meeting of our close friends in Poormus. Being a natural party planner I contacted everyone that was available and asked them to meet at Bonifacio Global City.

Our meeting place was at Market! Market!, where our former company is located (Poormus). The place is always crowded because it caters the masses and the price of goods here were very cheap compared to other establishments in the BGC area. We just killed our boredom strolling inside Market! Market and then I suggested that we could tour BGC and eat at Mc Donalds 32nd street. After we taken out some donuts in Dunkin’s we headed to Mc Donalds by walking along Serendra which is just across the street.

Serendra  is a high class residential area with food establishments and retail stores at the center of its Piazza. It's is very peaceful and PICTURESQUE and the first mall outside the street concept in the Philippines. We had a fun time walking and taking pictures here because of the romantic feel.

They also have seasonal activities and art exhibits where anyone can participate. The place is perfect for laid back individuals looking for a quiet time or chill out. Anyone will surely feel comfortable strolling in its friendly environment, dining in its exotic restaurants and shopping in its trendy stores. We already took tons of pictures and decided to go to Mc Donalds 32nd street.

We got to McDonald's by passing some buildings in BGC. After ordering some food in McDo, we ate and catch up with everyone's live . We had a great time enjoying each other’s company. It’s still early for us to go home so I suggested that we can visit the Mind Museum in BGC (you can read my othe post for this).
After visiting Mind Museum we got a text from Sheena and we need to meet her at Market! Market because it’s already 7pm  we rode the BGC Bus going to Market. We met Sheena and had dinner at Greenwich. Gracia also met a friend that we thought was her boyfriend but after he left, we found out that he is gay. Sheena still wanted to have more bonding time with us so she asked if we could sing in Timezone Serendra. Although we were exhausted from the day’s activity, we granted her wish and accompany her in Timezone. There was no available videoke room that time so we waited for 30 minutes and finally gave up and called it a night.

We had a great time in BGC's  theme park, trendy fashion establishments and exotic foodie havens. We really enjoyed everyone's company before we headed off to our home sweet home.  Our mission to tour BGC was a success. It's been a long and very tiring day. Despite the gray cloud that's been looming over Taguig, there just isn't no raining that will not let us bond with each other. I really enjoyed the bonding time with my old Poormus mate. And this definitely not the last time we will do it again.
