I ♥ Club Manila East - TayTay Rizal 08/16/2008

My college friends planned a quick fix to beat the summer heat and we wanted to go out of town without spending a lot. A friend recommends that we should try Club Manila East and she was right.

Club Manila East is located in the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal. We rode a public transport via G-Liner Bus bound to Taytay Rizal, fare is just 40 pesos from Robinsons Galleria and the travel time took us approximately 40 minutes.

The resort is open from 8am to 5pm during day swimming. Entrance fee is P500.00/pax; free for kids below 3 ft. For overnight accommodations, guests can stay at rooms/villas from 2pm to 11am for P3,300/2pax/free breakfast. Pay P700.00/extra pax. Maximum of 4 pax/room.

One thing we enjoyed the most in these resort were their several pools and water facilities. They have Olympic Size pool, A Giant pool 19,000 sq ft and a Wave pool that which were very safe for kids and those who are not good in swimming. They have surfing instructor and kayakl/zipline. The problem here is that you are not allowed to bring food and drinks you bought outside because the resort have their own restaurant so you need to buy food inside or eat comfortably outside if you have your own vehicle park in the area.

We are only a group of 3 people- me and two girl friends and we really enjoyed our stay here. We rented a small cottage with padlocks so we won’t be concern leaving our things behind. We extend our stay and leave the resort around 8pm and it wasn’t a good decision. One thing we didn’t notice was that the place is really far from the main road. We don’t have our own vehicle so we need to take a tricycle to get to the main road but the problem is that there is no tricycle during that time and we need to walk. We were so afraid because there were no light posts along the way. We asked a Brgy. Official if there are robbers in the area and they just told us that it’s up to our luck. Fortunately nothing bad happens and we were able to get to the main road in one piece.

I notice that there are a lot of guest complaining about the security of CME where they lost a lot of their personal belongings. I would suggest people to go here early in the morning and leave when there is still sunlight .This trip would be a great if there were no mishaps or inconvenience that had happened. I find Club Manila East a good resort for groups because you will feel more secure swimming and leaving your things unattended. It also a quick fix to summer heat to those who live close enough in Taytay Rizal.

How to get there

Commuting:

G-Liner, RRCG, and Green Rose Buses have regular routes going to Taytay Rizal from Quiapo/Lawton, Manila. Just take any bus that bears the "Taytay" signboard. These buses pass along the following locations (where they can also be boarded from): the Quiapo-Recto area, San Juan, Ortigas Center in Pasig, Rosario Pasig, the entire Ortigas Ave Extn , and Cainta Rizal. Tell the bus conductor to drop you off at Club Manila East in Taytay. From Manila, you can also ride the LRT from Recto station to Santolan station in Pasig, then take an Fx to Taytay. From Santolan LRT station, you can also take any Binangonan/Angono bound jeepney that bear the "Binangonan/Angono-Highway" signboard.

Driving:
Taytay, Rizal is bounded by Cainta on the north, Pasig City and Taguig City on the west, Antipolo City in the East and Angono on the South. The easiest and most familiar route when driving is from Ortigas Ave straight through Ortigas Ave. Extension. Drive straight through the entire Ortigas Ave. Extension until you reach the Cainta-Antipolo-Taytay boundary, turn left to Taytay, continue driving staright, once you pass by SM Taytay, you're almost there. Keep an eye to your right. Immediately, after Taytay "bagong palengke" is the Club Manila East main gate. Enter. a few meters away to your left, you'll see CME's parking lot.

Once you return the item, the seller has 3 days to issue you a refund. Keep in mind it may take a few days more from the time the seller issues the refund to when it shows up in your account.
