I ❤️ Boracay 2024 - Day 2 - Laud Restaurant in Hue Hotel and Resorts - 11/16/2024

Boracay 2024 Travel Blog: Day 2 - A Boracay Adventure (and a Breakfast Buffet Revelation!)

Oh, my sweet, sweet Boracay. Day two dawned, not with the usual travel-induced grogginess, but with a joyous, rumbling tummy. Why? Because, my friends, we discovered a breakfast buffet so epic, it deserves its own chapter in this travelogue (and possibly a sequel).

Let's talk about Hue Hotel. We'd splurged a measly 1000 pesos on top of our room rate – a small price to pay for paradise, especially when that paradise included ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT breakfast. Think of it: a breakfast buffet so extensive, so decadent, it could rival a small country's GDP. Laud Restaurant, located inside the Hue Hotel, was the stage for this culinary extravaganza.

To start the buffet, first give your room number to the food attendant. The buffet itself is located beside the huge pool and bar of the Hue Hotel – an aesthetically pleasing setting that's a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! And voila! You can begin your four-hour journey into breakfast bliss.

Now, let's dive into the food orgy. First, the Filipino and American breakfast options were so diverse, it felt like a culinary United Nations. We're talking fried rice, plain rice (for those of us who appreciate the classics), beans (for the fiber-conscious among us), a glorious array of breads (enough to build a small bread castle), corned beef (the salty, savory siren call), bacon (crispy, crunchy perfection), tapas (a delightful surprise!), chicken adobo (the star of the show!), and even a double (I’m still not entirely sure what that was, but it was delicious!).

And the drinks? Forget your sad, little cup of hotel coffee. We're talking bottomless coffee, tea, cereal (yes, cereal!), fresh fruit (a vital source of vitamins after a night of questionable decisions), iced tea, lemonade, and water. Seriously, hydration was not a concern.

Feeling adventurous? Request a made-to-order omelet or sunny-side-up egg. Our waiter, bless his soul, was a culinary magician, whipping up fluffy omelets with a smile. For three glorious days, we feasted like royalty. We didn't have to worry about finding breakfast; breakfast found us. It was a breakfast buffet so good, it single-handedly reduced our stress levels to zero. This wasn't just breakfast; it was a life-affirming experience.

So, if you find yourself in Boracay and looking for a breakfast that's worth every peso, look no further than Hue Hotel's Laud Restaurant. Just remember to pack stretchy pants.
