I ❤️ Boracay 2024 - Day 1 - Budget and Itinerary - 11/15/2024

Boracay 2024: A Detailed Itinerary and Budget Breakdown

Day 1: Arrival and Initial Exploration

My journey started at 4:00 AM with a taxi ride from Cavite to NAIA Terminal 3, costing 600 pesos. A substantial breakfast at Wendy's (980 pesos) fueled me for the flight. Despite a flight delay, I eventually boarded and arrived at Caticlan Airport at 9:42 AM. The sun shone brightly, a stark contrast to the typhoon warnings.

Transportation to Boracay involved a tricycle ride (270 pesos) to the Caticlan ferry port, followed by various fees: 540 pesos (terminal fee), 540 pesos (environmental fee), 180 pesos (boat fare), and 150 pesos (registration fee). A further 150-peso tricycle ride took me to Hue Hotel, where I paid a 5000-peso deposit for my stay.

Lunch at Island Inasal (tricycle: 150 pesos) provided delicious chicken inasal. I then strolled to Willy's Rock in Station 1, enjoying breathtaking views. After a much-needed rest at the hotel, I explored D'Mall for dinner.

Dinner at Aria Cucina Italiana (1950 pesos) consisted of two delicious pizzas. I topped off the evening with a refreshing mango-lemon shake from Jonah's Fruit Shake (680 pesos), meat skewers (220 pesos), and groceries (98 pesos). The return tricycle ride to Hue Hotel cost 100 pesos. The day concluded with relaxation and sleep.

Budget Summary (Day 1):

- Transportation: 1270 pesos (taxi + tricycle rides + ferry)
- Food & Drinks: 3858 pesos (Wendy's + Island Inasal + Aria Cucina Italiana + Jonah's + skewers + groceries)
- Accommodation Deposit: 5000 pesos
- Fees & Taxes: 1370 pesos (terminal, environmental, boat, registration)
- Total: 11498 pesos

Reflections:

The first day was jam-packed, but incredibly rewarding. The journey was long and involved several transportation changes and unexpected fees, but the beauty of Boracay made it all worthwhile. The food was delicious, and the views were spectacular. While the initial budget was significantly higher than anticipated, it set the stage for a fantastic trip. Future days will likely be less expensive, focusing more on beach time and exploring the island.
