I ♥ Sabang Beach Palawan 06/08/12


Sabang Beach is the entrypoint if you plan to go to Underground Subterenean River in Palawan. Its a 2 and a half hour ride, 78 KM from town proper. But the view on your way there will surely make you forget the time and the distance spent.
You can hire a tourist guide to get you there or if you're an adventurous type, try to find a Lexus Van for public transport in San Jose Bus Station. Just be sure to book your return trip back to puerto princesa or you'll end up booking in one the many hotels there. 
Going to Sabang you'll pass the different tourist spot in Palawan. You'll pass by Honda Bay, Vietnamese Village, A white cross on top of a mountain, St. Paul limestone formation, and Ugong Rock Cafe. Sabang beach reminds me of Puerto Galera in Mindoro without the crowds and busy businesses. Palawan, particularly Sabang, is a remarkably beautiful.
 How Do we Get There?

The most convenient way of getting to Sabang Beach is via Lexus Van which is a public transport in Puerto Princesa.

1. From our hotel we hire a tricycle and asked him to bring us to San Jose Terminal fare is 50 pesos. It took us approximately 10 minutes to get there.
 2. We look for the Lexus Shuttle Services which offers transportation from San Jose Terminal to Sabang Port. We didn't waste time wandering around because they have schedule trips. Luckily, we booked the earlier trip at 7:30 am.

3. The trip is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. There are a lot tourist spots you'll pass by while riding inside the van, so definitely we weren't bored during the entire trip.

4. The first thing we did after we got to Sabang beach was to secure a seat back to San Jose Terminal because we knew that reservations gets full very fast.


5. We arrived in Sabang Beach at 9:30 am and went off at 4:30pm. The whole journey is a new experience to us. This is the first time we tried something out of plan and will definitely not the last.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
