It was a friends birthday celebration and I was invited to join her in Laiya Batangas. Laiya located in San Juan Batangas was divided in two barangays which is the Laiya-Aplaya and Laiya-Ibabao that both has a majestic coastline with several beach resorts to visit for swimming, diving, and other outdoor activities.

I would say that Laiya Beach is a great place if your objective is a nice sandy beach and swimming in clean clear water. A nice place to bring the kids to enjoy the water.

  However, there is no “night life” like there is in Galera. So don’t expect any resort-hoping scenarios. The night life was simply Do-it-Yourself gimmick where you make do with your own group. That isn’t a bad thing… just setting expectations. That said, Laiya is a great beach. And add to that the fact that it is a convenient short drive from Manila. It is very convenient.


How do we get there.

 We rented 2 vans for the 15 of us. 1000pesos/pax food, transportation and rented house were already included. Its was a three hour ride from Manila. The rest of the trip were very entertaining because a lot of people bring their gadgets with them so we weren't bored the entire road trip.

 Since it is near the metropolis, you can arrange a day trip wherein you arrive at Laiya in the morning and head back to the city in the late afternoon. But if you intend to stay long and visit other spots in the vicinity, there are several resorts that will be more than happy to accommodate you.

I ♥ Puting Buhangin Pagbilao - Quezon (2012) - 09/29/2012

I always pray for good weather when planning an out-of-town trip, as a typhoon can easily disrupt carefully planned travels. Fortunately, when we visited Puting Buhangin in Pagbilao, Quezon, the weather remained clear. I ♥ Pundaquit Zambales 03/27/2011

Pundaquit Beach Zambales Pundaquit, or Pandakit is in San Antonio Zambales, a small fishing village on an attractive bay with a long white sand beach. It is a small barrio next to a glorious South China Sea and surrounded by paramount mountains. It is home to many fishermen as several boats lined their beach. The sun was glaring as I tried to take in the striking surroundings. The beach was very clean, unlike some of Subic's beaches I visited before.   I was really confused if Cove and Island is the same but according to my research A cove is a small type of bay or coastal inlet. Coves usually have narrow, restricted entrances, are often circular or oval, and are often situated within a larger bay. So definitely, we are not going to ride a boat just to get there.  It took us four hour of bumpy ride to finally reach Subic Olongapo and another hour to get to San Antonio Zambales with just 2 hours of slow traffic and the difference is our total travel time.
