Onuk Island: Unlocking the Beauty of a Hidden Paradise
 
Onuk Island, a gem tucked away in the stunning province of Palawan, first captured my attention through an award-winning photograph by George Tapan featured in National Geographic. The image left me longing to set foot on this remarkable island, immersing myself in its beauty. Little did I know that my visit to Onuk Island would surpass all expectations and leave an indelible mark on my soul.

 

Having explored numerous beaches in the Philippines, I arrived at Onuk Island with a sense of anticipation mixed with a touch of weariness from nearly two days of island hopping. Expecting just another slice of sea, sand, and sky, I couldn't have been more mistaken. Time seemed to stand still as I tread upon the powdery white sands, and minute by minute, an inexplicable feeling washed over me—an unparalleled connection to a world beyond reality.
 

Describing the beauty of Onuk Island proves challenging, as it possesses a unique essence that defies conventional description. As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words," yet even my videos and pictures fall short in capturing the sheer magic that permeates this island. Onuk Island is an enchanting multiverse, where being present feels like existing in another dimension entirely. It truly is the epitome of untouched beauty, evoking a sense of awe and wonder.

 

While Palawan is often referred to as "the last frontier," Onuk Island rightfully holds the title of "the last of the last frontier." This secluded paradise is a testament to the raw, unspoiled beauty that our world has to offer. Exploring just a portion of Onuk Island awakens the senses, leaving an everlasting impression. Strolling around the entire island would only take a mere 30 minutes, yet every inch reveals a scenery that rivals a thousand beaches in one. And here's something amazing: what I witnessed is just a fraction of the island. Although I didn't have the opportunity to explore the entire island, a part or even a glimpse of Onuk Island is worth a thousand beaches. 🏝️💫
 
 
Onuk Island, a once-in-a-lifetime destination, transports visitors to a realm where time stands still and the wonders of nature are revealed in their purest form. It is a place where sea, sand, and sky meld together and where the boundaries between worlds seem to blur. My journey to Onuk Island left an indescribable mark on my heart, a reminder that there are still hidden paradises waiting to be discovered. Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
