Balabac 2024 - Day 4: Beach Bliss and Island Exploration

Good morning, fellow adventurers! Day 4 of our Balabac expedition greeted us with excitement and the soothing promise of beach bliss. With the sun shining brightly, we started the day with an early breakfast at 7 am in Sicsican Island, savoring the tantalizing flavors that awaited us.

 

Our Island Tour kicked off in stunning fashion as we set sail for the mesmerizing Candaraman Starfish Island. The crystal-clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand welcomed us as we dipped our toes into paradise. The sight of vibrant starfish scattered along the shoreline was a true marvel of nature.

 

Continuing our island exploration, we made our way to the pristine and untouched Onuk Island. The untouched beauty captivated us as we wandered along the shore, marveling at the untouched beauty that surrounded us. As midday approached, we indulged in a delicious lunch, savoring the flavors while relishing the peaceful surroundings.

 

Afterwards, we embarked on a quick stop at Canibungan Island. The refreshing deep well shower rejuvenated us, washing away the saltwater and leaving us feeling revitalized. It was the perfect spot to rinse off and recharge for the remainder of the day.

 

As our Island Tour drew to a close, we returned to the comfort of Sicsican Island. Freshening up, we took a well-deserved rest, allowing the serene atmosphere to soothe our tired bodies and minds. The peaceful ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and relaxation.

 
With the evening upon us, we enjoyed an early dinner, savoring the delectable flavors of the island's cuisine. Following the satisfying meal, we gathered together for a few beers, celebrating the incredible experiences and memories we had made thus far.

 

With hearts and bellies content, we bid the day goodbye, retreating to our resting spaces for a peaceful night's sleep. The anticipation of the adventures that awaited us on the morrow filled our dreams, leaving us eager and excited for what the next day would bring.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
