Balabac 2024 - Day 6: Farewell to Paradise

Good morning, fellow adventurers! Day 6 marked the bittersweet end of our incredible Balabac journey. With the sun still hiding beneath the horizon, I woke up at 2 am to take a refreshing bath, preparing myself for the final day's adventures.

 

After bidding farewell to the beautiful Sicsican Island, we gathered for an early breakfast at 5:30 am, savoring the last moments on this tropical paradise. Energized and ready to embark on the journey back, we hopped on a thrilling speed boat ride, which took us on a one-hour journey from Sicsican Island back to Buliluyan Port.
 
Once we arrived at Buliluyan Port, we waited for a van was that will transfer us to Puerto Princesa, dropping us off at the bustling SM Palawan. The day began by indulging in an early lunch in Narra Palawan, filling our bellies with delightful local flavors.
 
To satisfy our beverage and sweet cravings, we stopped by Dunkin' Donuts at SM Palawan, where I relished iced coffee and indulged in the mouthwatering delight of a butternut. As our time dwindled in Palawan, we enjoyed a late lunch at Jollibee, savoring the taste of Filipino fast-food favorites.
 
With a bit of time to spare, we strolled around SM Palawan, exploring the various shops and embracing the vibrant atmosphere. Our shopping adventure led us to Belgian Waffle, where we couldn't resist buying some delicious waffles to satisfy our taste buds.

 

As the day progressed, it was time to bid Puerto Princesa goodbye. We hopped on a trike ride to the Puerto Princesa Terminal, eagerly awaiting our flight back to reality. Unfortunately, we experienced a delay of three hours before boarding the plane bound to NAIA 3.
 
With patience and anticipation, we finally boarded the Air flight that would take us back to Manila. Upon arrival in NAIA 3, I embarked on an Angkas motor trike ride to PITX, where excitement mingled with a touch of nostalgia.
 
To complete my journey, I hopped on a Habal Habal motor trike, safely arriving in Imus Cavite, concluding our unforgettable vacation in Balabac.
 
As I reflect on the beautiful memories we created, the stunning landscapes we explored, and the connections we formed, we bid farewell to Balabac. The experiences and adventures will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
