Welcome back, fellow adventurers! Day 2 of our Balabac journey was filled with excitement as we immersed ourselves in the rich history, indulged in delicious treats, and enjoyed a bit of retail therapy. Join me as we relive the highlights of this incredible day!
 
Plaza Cartel

We kicked off our morning with a mouthwatering BangSiLog breakfast at Caloy, a local eatery known for its delectable Filipino dishes. Energized and ready to explore, we embarked on a city tour, starting with a visit to the magnificent Palawan Church. The awe-inspiring architecture and serene atmosphere made it a perfect place for quiet reflection.
 
Next on our itinerary was Plaza Cuartel, a historically significant site that holds stories of wartime resilience. As we walked through the plaza, we couldn't help but acknowledge the bravery and sacrifice of those who came before us.
 
Our journey continued with a visit to the picturesque Mitras Ranch, where breathtaking views embraced us at every corner. At the Ranch Cafe, we couldn't resist the temptation of Vietnamese coffee paired with a slice of mouthwatering red velvet cake. It was a perfect moment of relaxation and indulgence.
 
Before leaving Mitras Ranch, we made sure to stop by Bakers Hill to satisfy our sweet tooth and fill our bags with delectable pastries. The heavenly aroma and delightful selection made it impossible to resist.
 
By the time lunch rolled around, we found ourselves at Kalui, a renowned restaurant that showcased Palawan's culinary treasures. Every dish was a delightful surprise, bursting with fresh flavors and local ingredients. It was a culinary experience we won't soon forget.
 
After a satisfying late lunch, we ventured to Rizal Avenue to explore the local shops. Our quest for retail therapy led us to discover a beautiful bag that caught our eye. The joy of finding something unique and special added an extra spring in our step.
 
Having had our fill of exploration and shopping, we returned to the hotel to rest and recharge. The comfort of our accommodations provided a much-needed respite before the evening's activities.
 
For an early dinner, we decided to try out the flavors of Chowking, a beloved fast-food chain that offered a fusion of Chinese and Filipino cuisine. The savory dishes satisfied our cravings and left us with happy taste buds.
 
With the day's adventures coming to a close, we wrapped up the evening by taking a refreshing bath and settling in for a good night's sleep. The anticipation of what the next day had in store lingered in the air as we drifted off, eagerly awaiting the continuation of our Balabac escapade.

I always pray for good weather when planning an out-of-town trip, as a typhoon can easily disrupt carefully planned travels. Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
