Balabac 2024 - Day 5: Sun, Sand, and Seaside Bliss

Greetings, fellow adventurers! Day 5 of our Balabac expedition beckoned us with promises of sun-kissed adventures and tranquil seaside bliss. With anticipation in the air, we started our day with an early breakfast on Sicsican Island, fueling up for the exciting journey ahead.

 

Our Island Tour began with a visit to the breathtaking Mansalangan Sandbar. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an expanse of pristine white sand that stretched into the shimmering turquoise horizon. With each step, a sense of serenity washed over us, allowing us to appreciate the untouched beauty of this natural paradise.

 

After immersing ourselves in the enchanting Mansalangan Sandbar, we continued our exploration, making our way to Punta Sebaring for a delightful lunch. Nourished by a delicious meal, we marveled at the picturesque coastal landscapes surrounding us.

 

To fully embrace Balabac's vibrant marine life, we dived into the crystal-clear waters for snorkeling and swimming activities at Sicsican Island. However, we were disheartened to discover that the coral reefs were bleached. Nonetheless, we quickly adapted and decided to swim in the calmer beach of Sicsican Island, making the most of the calm sunshine as we posed, bonded, and soaked in the beauty of the surroundings.

 

As the day wound down, we gathered for an early dinner, savoring the flavors of Balabac's culinary delights. Our tour group comprised individuals from the USA, France, and Norway, fostering a beautiful exchange of stories, laughter, and cultural differences. We celebrated our camaraderie and the connections formed during our journey, promoting tourism and forging lasting memories.

 

With contented hearts and cherished memories, we freshened up, preparing to leave the island at 6 am. As we settled in for the night, sleep came easily, our dreams filled with visions of the remarkable experiences and adventures that had unfolded throughout the day.

 

As we bid farewell to Day 5, we eagerly looked forward to the next chapter of our Balabac adventure. Stay tuned, dear readers, as we continue exploring the treasures of this tropical paradise, forming connections, and creating memories that will be etched in our hearts forever.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
