I ♥ Aninuan Falls - Oriental Mindoro 10/20/2011

We wanted to try something new in Puerto Galera so we decided to hike on of the local waterfalls there. Uninuan Waterfalls is located in Brgy. Uninuan just a stone throw away from white beach resort. . It is nestled at the foot of the towering Mt. Malasimbo and is under the vicinity of Brgy. Aninuan, hence the name Aninuan Falls. To get there we rode a tricycle to bring us to Brgy. Aninuan jump off point. We were greeted by a local tour guide asking for a fee but because we are feeling a bit adventurous we opt to hike for one hour.   Going to Aninuan falls can be tricky because there are a lot of ways branching to different communities in the area. We just follow some old trails and asked politely to locals to get there. We crossed the stream a lot of times and luckily we didn’t quit and continue walking. We finally reached the falls after an hour of spotting scattered trails.   We paid 20 pesos for the entrance fee. The sight of the waterfalls is not as grand as some falls in the

I ♥ Potipot Island Uacon, Zambales 09/09/11

My feet are entirely too itchy to stay in one place for another month so I pressured my friend to go travelling. Being considered a natural controlling friend, he has a talent when it comes to organizing travels. He planned to go to Potipot Island in Candelaria Zambales to spend quality time.   We supposed to ride the 3am bus but we were 5 minutes late of the scheduled time. We left around 5:00 am at the Victory Liner Bus Station at Monumento thinking that we’ll arrive at our destination early. I thought Zambales is just roughly 3-4 hours drive from Manila but going there would take 6 hours of grueling travel. We still need to transfer to another bus in Sta.Cruz bound to Iba. Potipot is quite very far, many people might get turned off going there.   We checked in at the Sun Bloom Resort, for about Php2,000/night for an aircon room good for five, with its own cable TV, and of course, bathroom.  The resort sits in front of the beach and Potipot is already visible from there. When it

I ♥ Tagaytay 01/29/2009

Unplanned trips are more likely to push through. My aunt (daisy) went to Manila for a business trip and asked my mom if she could go with her. My mom has a different plan for that day but agreed to go with aunt. When aunt arrive in our house, mom was surprise to see her other siblings (aunt) Dulce and Minda. Aunt Daisy feels like going to Tagaytay and when I heard it I volunteered to come with them. Luckily, mom said that she will go if the two of us my sister (badet) and I will come. After preparing and packing our things were off to go.     Whenever someone mentions Tagaytay I imagine how romantic the place is. I heard a lot of good reviews in this city. They say that it’s like Baguio City which is popular for locals and tourist but much closer to Manila.. It is the best place for cool weather, awesome food, and fantastic nature view.   It was a cloudy and gloomy day, but that didn't stop us from chattering our way to Tagaytay and back. Driving to Tagaytay means long stretches

I ♥ Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro 04/09/2011

I always love travelling and adventure but the experience that I had with Batangas Port Shipping lines made me think that personal safety and hassle free journey is the most important thing in travelling. It all happens late summer of July. My cousin (Dhen) invited me to go with her co-workers in Puerto Galera to unwind.  I heard a lot of good reviews about this place and the people that have been there compared its beauty just like in Boracay. I said yes immediately and didn’t think twice, from then on, I already imagine myself partying on the beach.  We planned to go there during weekends and will meet at four in the morning. We haven’t eaten breakfast yet so we just ordered from a fast food chain and ate it inside the bus. We arrived in Batangas Port around nine in the morning and we were welcome by a packed of tourist and long lines. I was really excited at first but then I immediately notice the disorganized system that made me realize that this travel would be a stres
