I ♥ Our Lady of Manaoag Church Pangasinan 02/12/2010


Our Lady of Manaoag is a religious shrine with countless miraculous tales and healing powers. It is considered the pilgrimage shrine of northern Philippines. 

The Filipino Catholics consider Our Lady of Manaoag as the revered patroness of the sick, the helpless and the needy. I came here with friend from La-Union and getting to Manaoag Church is such a breeze because I have someone who can speak Ilocano and knows the traffic going there.  
It’s already 4 in the afternoon when we arrived in Manaoag and I really felt the positive energy in the area. I love the welcoming feeling of the church. It is in the northern part of the town and it’s spiritually uplifting. We were welcome by street vendors which is normal in every church. You just need to walk along the inclined road and you’ll see the majestic Manaoag church standing like a father figure.  
Devotees from different provinces in the Philippines frequent the shrine all year round. Catholic devotees that needs a solemn place to pray, repent and seeking for peace of mind - this is the great place. You can soul-search all you want and even write all of your prayers/wishes in the paper and drop it to The Lady of Manaoag Shrine while praying and it will come true. Aside from the beautiful church, you can also visit the wishing well building and the candle lighting area outside the church, as well as the rosary garden, the museum and the religious shop.  
The trip to Manaoag is such a blessing to me. I was very lucky that I got a chance to visit the place and experience the positive energy of the area. I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures but I was able to pray and contemplate. We don’t have enough time to explore the area but I will definitely come back to this place. It's my first time going there, and just like what other people say, one must make a wish if he/she's visiting a church for the first time. I did.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate.   Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
