I ♥ Camp John Hay Baguio 12/12/2010


As a first time traveler in Baguio city nothing will complete your visit if you haven’t been to Camp John Hay. It was our first destination for our Baguio City Tour and I really felt the Baguio Moment with all the pine trees around, beautiful landscapes, the cool climate and very peaceful ambiance. 
The place is so huge with its hotels, private vacation houses, shopping center with restaurants and stores and convention centers. 

It also offers recreational activities and attractions such as horseback riding, zip line, rappel, paint ball, butterfly garden, picnic areas/cottages and Art Park are also available. 

We’re only able to explore some of its areas due to limited time. For me, the best spot in Camp John Hay is the Starbucks Branch. 

 I’m not a huge fan of drinking coffee but whenever my friends wanted to chill we always stop in its branches. We probably discovered the quaintest Starbucks coffee shop we’ve ever visited. Instead of the usual modern glass structure, Starbucks Camp John Hay is inside one of the white colonial wooden houses where American soldiers used to stay.

 I also notice the fireplace which is very unusual if you’re going to any branch here in Manila. It’s very cozy and picturesque – a lovely place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, read the morning paper, or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air.  
We took some pictures mimicking one of the scene in Harry Potter, with all the pine trees around the place is perfect for each shot. I notice that there were fewer tourists than expected. I mean, less commuting tourist. Most people come here with private cars or SUVs, upon arrival until we left Starbucks. . .

I don’t want to go yet but we still have other place to visit maybe I’ll explore the place a little more when I come back. . It is surely one of the relaxing places I’ve visited in the Philippines. Plus, it has the cleanest and pleasant view of Pine trees in Baguio City

I always pray for good weather when planning an out-of-town trip, as a typhoon can easily disrupt carefully planned travels. Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Baguio was the first tourist spot I visited in this humble city. I went there last 2008 with my college friends and I really enjoyed our short stay there. There is no restriction in visiting the area. However, due to its gaining popularity they implemented policies that may annoy some first time travelers.  All visitors entering PMA must have individual valid IDs. A person without a valid ID can't enter PMA. If you're in a group and you don't have ID, you will be instructed to get off the jeepney at the gate and wait for your companions with IDs while they're enjoying the tour. Also, wearing slippers is a big no-no when you wanted to enter its premises. Even though you are wearing your expensive flip-flops the security personnel won't show any mercy and you may be force to await your companion at the gate. I ♥ Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon 03/13/2011

  Batis Aramin Lucban Quezon Batis Aramin Resort, Hotel and Adventure Camp is just one of the few resorts near my hometown Tayabas, Quezon. We went there when we visited the well-known Catholic Pilgrimage site called “Kamay ni Hesus” which lies on the foot of Mt. Banahaw last 2011. You won't be lost to find the place because it is just on the other side of the popular retreat camp Kamay ni Hesus which is located in Malupak, Lucban Quezon. We don't have enough money to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee but because we wanted to explore the place we just made an alibi to the security personnel that we just wanted to do an ocular visit and see if we wanted to stay. The security personnel was very kind and he let the 5 of us enter the vicinity we just left our ID's for record updating.  There were a lot of guess that time.
