I ♥ Agoo La Union 02/20/2010

In Filipino culture, travelling is always done in groups because you'll save a lot of time and money, but there will always be a time in your life that you wanted to travel alone. I've never been able to travel alone and I'm really curious experiencing it. I really think that a solo travel brings its own set of joys and challenges that will eventually leads to an extra-ordinary experience. I was lucky because a friend invited me to visit their place in Agoo La Union. It's been a while now since I traveled to a different place and I can't resist the free invite. I will be their guest and with free food and a bed to sleep on, how can I reject such offer? The only problem is that I don't have someone who can go with me. Because my feet were really itching for my next adventure I accepted his offer and filed the necessary vacation leaves I needed. I already prepared the things that I need for the said travel so after my shift ended, I said my goodbyes to my frie

I ♥ Basilica del Sto. Nino Cebu City 11/05/2011

After we visited the Metropolitan Cathedral Church we headed to Sto. Nino Church to visit the Magellan’s Cross. We just commuted to get there and lucky for us we weren't lost because my friend knows the direction. After walking for almost 15 minutes we were welcome by a very familiar fast food chains and busy street.  On the other side of the busy street lies the famous Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino. It was Sunday that time and I wasn't surprise to see a lot of people attending the mass. I really respect the Cebuano’s for being religious. Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, a 16th century old Roman Catholic Church, known to be the oldest church in the Philippines. It was built purportedly on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño, a sculpture depicting the Holy Child Jesus done in the style of Flanders found by Spanish explorers of Legazpi Expedition of 1565. The image was allegedly preserved in a burnt wooden box which was left behind during the 1521 Magellan expedition.

I ♥ Magellan Cross Cebu City 11/05/2011

During my elementary days we always discuss the different tourist destination in the Philippines. One of which is the famous Magellan Cross in Cebu City. Magellan's Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese, and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on (depending on source) April 14 or 21, 1521. I was really fascinated about the history of the cross; how it became the symbol of the Spaniard to conquer the Philippines. Magellan's Cross is one of the most visited tourist attraction of Cebu City. During my first trip in Cebu I wasn't able to visit this popular destination because my friend said that it is just a cross in the middle of the park so we just headed to Bohol which another tourist spot in the Visayan Region. Fortunately, I was able to visit the beautiful city of Cebu again with my college friends. This time, Magellan's cross is included in our itinerary. We were a group of 12 people so we just commu

I ♥ Regal Business Park Cebu City 11/05/2011

We stayed in Regal Business Inn during my second trip in Cebu City. We were a group of 12 people so we booked 3 rooms. I had a very good impression when I saw the hotel.  It is located next to Ayala Center Cebu which is excellent. The hotel is very accessible especially if you are going to stay in Cebu for a long time.  I really like the attitude of their staffs they were very friendly and warm being. We were greeted by a very friendly security guy and the receptionists were all pleasant. The hotel, whilst not the newest and most modern is still clean and presentable enough. There were some things that needed improvement though like their elevator and smoking area but of course the room is the most important thing.   The rooms that were assigned to us had nice big windows. The rooms were very spacious with Cable T.V and hot/cold shower. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. However, the hotel is in the middle of the city so you’ll expect the noise outside from ongoing
