I ❤️ Boracay 2024 - Day 4 - End of Tour

Boracay 2024 Day 4: Back to Manila – A Whirlwind Farewell

Okay, so Day 4 in Boracay was all about the bittersweet goodbye. The alarm screamed at 4 am – brutal, I know – but the thought of that last Boracay sunrise kept me going. A quick freshen-up, a frantic bag-packing session (seriously, how do I always manage to accumulate so much stuff?), and I was ready to roll.

First stop: Laud's breakfast buffet. Let me tell you, it was the perfect send-off. Think mountains of delicious pastries, tropical fruits bursting with flavour, and enough coffee to fuel a small army. I seriously piled my plate high – one last chance to indulge in that Boracay goodness!

By 7 am, it was time to face the reality of leaving paradise. A trike ride to the Boracay port cost me 150 pesos – a small price to pay, really. Then came the inevitable: paying the terminal fee again (seriously, these fees add up!). The boat transfer was another 540 pesos, plus an additional 180 pesos for something or other. I'm starting to think I should have just booked a private jet! 😂

The ferry ride itself was pretty smooth, thankfully. I spent most of it looking back at Boracay, trying to imprint the image of those white sands and turquoise waters onto my memory. It's a pretty good photo album in my head now.

We arrived at Caticlan ferry port around 7:30 am. Another trike ride (180 pesos – are you sensing a theme here?) took me to Caticlan Airport. The boarding procedure was pretty straightforward, thankfully. No major hiccups, which was a relief after the early morning rush.

By 9 am, I was airborne, leaving the stunning Boracay behind. It felt surreal. One minute I was lounging on the beach, the next I was soaring above the clouds. The flight itself was short – about an hour – and before I knew it, we were touching down at NAIA Terminal 3 in Manila.

Reaching NAIA 3 around 10 am, I immediately felt the change in atmosphere. The bustling airport was a stark contrast to the laid-back vibe of Boracay. But hey, it was good to be back!

My first stop in Manila was a visit to Papa. It was great catching up, and it felt good to be greeted by a familiar face after my Boracay adventure. Lunch was at SnR Newport – a much-needed refueling stop after all that travel. Their food is always reliable and comforting.

Finally, around 1 pm, I hopped into a Grab taxi and headed to Cavite, marking the official end of my Boracay escapade. It was a whirlwind tour, but oh-so-worth it. Boracay, you were amazing! I'll definitely be back.

This trip was a fantastic mix of relaxation and adventure. I'll definitely be sharing more photos and stories soon. Until next time, Boracay!
