I ♥ Peak Tram Hong Kong 03-01-2013

Image
Peak Tram Hong Kong The peak itself is a 5/5 must do experience but you would be better off catching the bus or if you are fit walking up to the peak. But I will definiely suggest to try it during summer because of poor visibility. It is  the fastest route at 10 minutes from the lower level terminus to the top. The history behind the tram and the steep angle at which you travel is pretty awesome. However, we really hated the horrific queues at either terminus. It doesn't matter if you buy your tickets directly at the counter or if you buy online or if you use an octopus card. There are NO priority lanes.  When you get to the top, you then go up to the top floor of the tramway station, where the observation deck is. Looking down the steep hillside on Hong Kong, Victoria Harbour and Kownloon is spectacular, even when visibility is poor. If you like to hike or walk distances, you can then follow Lugard Road around the summit of the peak - it's about 6

Gen. Nakar - A n Eye Opener Traveling is a wonderful experience, you can be in one side of the planet one moment and find yourself on the other side of the world in a few hours. But as with anything traveling too comes with its   benefits and dangers. One thing to remember is that in today’s world, there is no place on the entire earth that is perfectly safe. No matter where you go you could be hit with crime, terrorism, natural disaster or some other calamity. Traveling to a remote land is exciting as well as risky. The reasons for excitement and risk are the same - new places, new people, etc. If you are planning to make a foreign trip in the near future and do not want to become a victim of violence or face unwanted situations and difficulties. You must be very careful and try to read through the travel article to know some safety tips for traveling .  My story starts with a typical group of friends planning to go to a friend's hometown to have a weekend getaw

I ♥ Tlisayen Cove Zambales 03/27/2011

Talisayen Cove Zambales  It's been two years already since I last saw my college friends and I guess the last one was during our graduation. So this trip to Talisayen Cove was a great time for us to mingle and catch up with everyone. We’ve decided to meet in Cubao Terminal around four in the morning. I texted all of our friends for the said get together. However, not everyone showed up. We decided that even if we were not complete the trip will still push thru rain or shine. We rode the Victory Liner air-conditioned bus bound to Iba Zambales and just asked the conductor to drop us in San Antonio Zambales - the jump off point going to Talisayen cove. I never thought that Zambales have a lot of beautiful beaches to offer. The infamous tragedy that happened here in 1991 when Mount Pinatubo erupted drastically changed the geological face of Zambales. Who would have thought that something remarkably beautiful will emerge after the tragedy? Today, tourist and adventurers are tra

I ♥ STK ta Bay Cebut City 11/06/2011

STK ta Bay Cebu City   I’ve been telling in my previous blog post about Cebu’s unique dining experience. If someone will ask me the best place to dine in the Philippines, Cebu City will surely be in my top list. I love eating but I’m not familiar where the best restaurants located are. Whenever I eat in a good restaurant, it is because I am with a friend who has more knowledge and experience in finding good restaurants. I am lucky to have a couple of friends who like to dine and spoil their palates. When we were in Cebu, it was a great opportunity for us to try the different restaurants in this humble city one of which is the famous STK ta Bai at 6 Orchid Street, Capitol.  STK ta Bai! Restaurant is well-known here in Cebu as the place where families usually gather and have dinner together. STK means sugba (grill), tula (broth), kilaw (raw/ceviche), it's a typical fish serving in Cebu and most Visayan cities in which a fish is cut and prepared in three different ways as gril
